Wood Green draws a steady student and young-renter crowd because the Piccadilly line runs straight from the High Road into the West End and the university belt around King's Cross and Holloway, and rents in N22 stay more affordable than the zones closer in. So most of our Wood Green student moves are single rooms and shared houses: a room in a terrace on the Noel Park estate, a room in an Edwardian house off Lordship Lane, or a studio in one of the purpose-built blocks near the Shopping City, packed into boxes for a transit van rather than a lorry. We price to the load, so a single-room move is charged for the small van and the hour or two it takes, never for space you won't fill.

The academic calendar sets the pace. Late June empties shared tenancies as the year ends, and September fills them again for the new term, and both peaks book out fast on the popular Saturdays around N22 — so students should lock a date in as early as they can. Leaving it to moving week often means the slot you want has already gone.

Parking is the practical hurdle. The High Road and the streets by Shopping City stay congested with buses and shoppers most of the day, so we never load there directly; we work from the quieter residential turnings and arrange a bay suspension where a shared house allows one. The Noel Park conservation streets have tight resident-only bays we plan around. In shared houses we move only your room, working neatly around housemates who aren't going anywhere, and because these houses are usually let by the room we handle a mid-tenancy part-load just as readily as an end-of-year clear-out. We bring our own boxes and blankets so nothing gets scuffed on the stairs of an older Edwardian house.
