Wood Green is anchored by its High Road and the Shopping City centre, but the residential streets around it are what make N22 an interesting place to move house. The Noel Park estate, just east of the High Road, is a rare survivor: a late-Victorian model housing estate of neat red-brick terraces, now a conservation area with tight parking and protected frontages that we treat carefully. To the west, the streets climbing towards Alexandra Park — Alexandra Park Road, Dorset Road, the turnings off Bounds Green Road — mix Edwardian houses with 1930s semis and purpose-built mansion blocks. Each type moves differently, and we bring the right van size and crew rather than a one-size guess, so a mansion-block flat is not priced like a four-bedroom semi.

Parking is the everyday challenge. The High Road and the area around Shopping City are congested for most of the day with buses, deliveries and shoppers, so we never try to load there directly; instead we work from the residential turnings and arrange a bay suspension where a property allows one. The Noel Park conservation streets and the controlled zones around Lordship Lane have resident-only bays that fill early, and local knowledge of where a Luton van can legally sit for twenty minutes saves a great deal of time on the day.

Transport is a genuine plus for N22. Wood Green on the Piccadilly line runs straight into the West End, while Alexandra Palace station a short way north gives fast Great Northern services into Moorgate and King's Cross, and Bounds Green adds another Piccadilly stop. That mix makes the area popular with commuters trading up from a flat to a first house, so plenty of moves here are two and three-bed jobs on a chain.
