Last Updated: 3 October 2026 | Version 2.0
These terms are the contract between you and Dudar Moving Ltd, trading as Dudar Moving ("we", "us", "our"). We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16539715. Our address is 247-253 Wood St, London E17 3NT, UK.
They apply to every booking. If you book by phone or by message, they apply once we send them to you with your booking confirmation. Please read them before you book — in particular section 4 (load size), section 5 (charges on the day), section 7 (call-out fee) and section 8 (cancelling).
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to a service carried out with reasonable care and skill.
When you tick the box to accept these terms at booking, you accept the version in force at that moment, and that version governs your booking even if we change these terms later. This is version 2.0.
We move homes, student rooms and small offices, mainly in London and the surrounding area, and we clear rubbish. A move that starts or ends outside our service area carries a mileage charge, shown in the quote.
A booking is for a van and a crew for a period of time, to move the load you describe. Taking apart and putting together furniture, and packing materials, are available by agreement. Storage is arranged by phone and agreed separately in writing; these terms cover it only where that agreement says so.
Your booking is confirmed when we email you a confirmation with a booking reference. If you do not receive it within an hour of booking, contact us — a booking we have not confirmed is not binding on either of us, and we refund any payment you made for it straight away.
Your quote is worked out from what you tell us:
If those details are right, the quote is the price of the job, apart from the charges in section 5 that only arise on the day. If they turn out to be wrong, the price is corrected as described in sections 4 and 5.
The price is for time: an hourly rate for the van, set by the load size, plus an hourly rate for each mover, multiplied by the booked hours. Charges for floors without a lift, for steps, and a mileage charge when either address is outside our service area are added on top and shown separately in the quote.
| Load size | About | Van, per hour | Minimum booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 3 m³ (studio) | £40.00 | 2 hours |
| Medium | 6 m³ (1-bed) | £45.00 | 2 hours |
| Large | 13 m³ (2-bed) | £50.00 | 2 hours |
| Luton | 18 m³ (3-bed) | £55.00 | 2 hours |
Each mover: £17.50 per hour.
Booked time starts at the arrival time you booked, or when the crew arrives if we are late. It covers driving between your addresses, loading and unloading. The minimum booking for your load size applies even if the job is shorter.
If the job finishes early, the price stays the same: you are booking the van and crew for that time.
| Load size | Volume | Typical home | Load space (L × W × H) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | about 3 m³ | Studio | 1.8 × 1.6 × 1.2 m |
| Medium | about 6 m³ | 1-bed | 2.5 × 1.8 × 1.4 m |
| Large | about 13 m³ | 2-bed | 3.5 × 1.8 × 2.1 m |
| Luton | about 18 m³ | 3-bed | 4.0 × 2.0 × 2.2 m |
The home sizes are a guide only. What counts is the volume of what we move. The "What fits?" panel on the booking form shows each size drawn to scale.
"Small" and "Medium" are load sizes, not vehicles. Our vans are Large vans and Luton vans, and either may be sent to any booking. A bigger van turning up does not give you a bigger load: your price is for the load size you booked, and that is the load the crew plans for. If we send a van with less room than the load size you booked and a second trip is needed, the second trip is at our cost.
Before loading starts, the crew checks the load against the size you booked. If it is clearly bigger, they tell you before they load anything:
The crew confirms the revised price to you in writing — by text message, WhatsApp or email — and starts only once you agree. If someone is there on your behalf, they can agree for you.
Example: you book a Small load for 3 hours, and the load matches a Large van. The van part of your price is recalculated at £50.00 per hour instead of £40.00: £10.00 × 3 hours = £30.00 more. The movers' rate does not change. If the job then runs past 3 hours, the extra time is charged at the Large rate in section 5.1.
If the load will not fit in the van in one trip, the crew offers you a choice: a second trip, charged as extra time under section 5.1 (unless 4.2 makes it ours), or moving what fits now and booking the rest separately. A second van on the same day is possible only if one is free, and is priced and agreed before it is sent.
You can ask the crew to move only what fits in the load size you booked, at the booked price, or cancel there and then without a call-out fee. Any deposit is refunded under section 8.1.
A smaller load does not reduce the price, because the price is for the booked time (section 3.4). If you know before the day that your load is smaller, contact us and we will re-quote if a smaller size fits.
Only the charges in this section, and a revised load size under section 4, can be added to your price on the day. Wherever the cause is visible on the day, the crew tells you about the charge before doing the work. Time lost through our own mistakes or a vehicle breakdown is never charged, and neither is the drive to your first address beyond any mileage charge already in your quote.
The first 10 minutes past the booked time are free. After that, time is charged for each 30 minutes or part of 30 minutes. It is the van’s own half-hour rate for your load size, plus the movers. The booking form shows the total for your van and crew before you book:
| Load size | Van, per 30 minutes |
|---|---|
| Small | £20.00 |
| Medium | £25.00 |
| Large | £30.00 |
| Luton | £35.00 |
Plus £17.50 for each person carrying, per 30 minutes — the driver too when they help carry. Each extra half hour costs a full hour’s rate for each person carrying; that is our rate, not a mistake.
Example: a Medium load with 2 movers that runs 30 minutes over costs £25.00 + 2 × £17.50 = £60.00.
Time counts whatever the reason the job takes longer on your side — for example waiting for keys, a lift that has to be booked, things not packed, furniture you asked us to take apart or put together, or carrying further than described (see 5.5). Booked time includes the drive between your addresses, so traffic on that drive counts towards it.
See section 4.
If an address has more floors without a lift than you told us, a lift that is out of order or too small for your furniture, or more steps than you told us, we charge what the quote would have charged if we had known:
| Load size | Each floor without a working lift |
|---|---|
| Small | £12.00 |
| Medium | £12.00 |
| Large | £12.00 |
| Luton | £12.00 |
Steps at a ground-floor entrance: £1.00 per step.
Floor and step charges are adjusted for the number of movers in the same way as in your quote, where the adjusted figure is shown.
These charges apply when they arise — for example a stop you add on the day. They are the same figures listed in your booking confirmation.
| Charge | Price |
|---|---|
| London Congestion Zone | £18.50 |
| Additional mile | £2.00 per mile |
| Additional stop | £10.00 per stop |
| Additional floor (stairs) | £10.35 per man per flight |
Any extra time they cause is charged under 5.1.
You must arrange a legal place for the van to stop as close as possible to the door at both addresses — a driveway, a bay suspension or a visitor permit, for example.
Tell us at booking about anything unusual: a piano, a safe, an American-style fridge-freezer, or any single item over 50 kg or that needs more than two people. The crew may refuse an item they cannot move safely. If they can move it, the extra time is charged under 5.1.
Boxes, tape or covers we provide at your request on the day are charged at the price the crew tells you before using them.
If you ask us to take away rubbish during a move, we price it as a rubbish clearance (section 11) and tell you the price before loading it.
Depending on the service, the booking form may ask for a deposit of £20.00, let you choose whether to pay it, or ask for nothing upfront. Whatever is due is shown before you book. A deposit is part of the price, not an extra.
Card payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or keep your full card number, and we do not keep your card on file to charge later.
The rest of the price, together with any charge you agreed under sections 4 and 5, is paid to the crew on the day by bank transfer, card or cash, once loading is finished and before unloading starts at the last address. Time used after that point is paid when the job is finished.
If the undisputed balance for this move has not been paid when loading is finished, the crew may wait up to 60 minutes before unloading. We will not hold your belongings over an amount you dispute: tell us in writing why, pay the part you do not dispute, and we will unload and deal with the dispute under section 13. We always unload medicines, documents, keys and anything needed for children or for health. Waiting caused by a dispute about our charges is not charged. We may recover an unpaid balance through the courts.
A call-out fee pays for a crew and van that turn up but cannot do the job because of something on your side. It applies when:
The fee is the time the crew spent on your job — from when booked time starts (section 3.4) until they leave — charged the same way as ordinary booked time: the hourly van rate for the load size you booked plus the hourly rate for each mover booked (section 3.3), for each 30 minutes or part of 30 minutes. It is not charged at the overrun rate. Any deposit you have paid counts towards it.
Example: for a Medium load with 2 movers the hourly rate is £45.00 + 2 × £17.50 = £80.00. If the crew waits 30 minutes and nobody comes, the call-out fee is £40.00.
There is no call-out fee when the reason is on our side.
Cancel with the link in your confirmation email, or by contacting us.
If you paid a deposit:
| When you cancel | Deposit |
|---|---|
| More than 24 hours before the booked start | Refunded in full |
| Between 12 hours and 24 hours before | 50% refunded |
| Less than 12 hours before | Not refunded |
Refunds are worked out from the deposit you actually paid and the rules above as they stood when you booked, which your confirmation email repeats. They go back to the card you paid with within 14 days. Cancelling never costs more than the deposit, unless the crew has already arrived (section 7).
If you did not pay a deposit, you can cancel free of charge until the crew arrives.
A removal booked for a specific date is a contract for the transport of goods on a specific date, so the 14-day right to cancel in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply to it (regulation 28(1)(h)). The rules in 8.1 apply instead.
You can cancel a rubbish clearance booked online within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason, by telling us clearly — the cancellation link in your confirmation email does this. Any deposit is refunded in full within 14 days.
If the clearance is due within those 14 days, the booking form asks you to confirm that you want it done then. If you cancel after the crew has started, you pay for the work done up to that point; once the clearance is complete, the right to cancel ends. After the 14 days, the rules in 8.1 apply.
Ask as early as you can. If you ask more than 24 hours before the booked start, we move your booking free of charge to any date we have free. Later than that, a change is treated as a cancellation under 8.1 and a new booking.
Rarely, we may have to cancel — for example because of a breakdown, illness or severe weather. We will tell you as soon as we can, offer you another date, and refund any deposit in full if you would rather not rebook.
Tell us at booking about any item worth more than £500, so we can agree a higher limit for it under section 12.1. If we find something we do not carry, we leave it behind.
The price of a clearance is for the load size you choose, the labour time shown in the quote and any helpers you add. Time past the booked time is charged at the rate per 30 minutes shown in your quote.
If there is more rubbish than the load size you booked, the crew tells you which size it matches and the revised price before loading, and confirms it in writing — the same process as section 4.3. Items that need special disposal, such as mattresses or fridges, are charged as listed when you book.
We cannot take hazardous waste: asbestos, chemicals, solvents, paint, oil, gas bottles, clinical waste or bulk batteries.
You confirm that what we take is yours to dispose of, or that you have the owner’s permission.
If we lose or damage your belongings through our fault, we will repair or replace them or pay what that costs, up to £40 per item, unless you told us its value in writing before the move (in the booking notes, for example) and we agreed a higher limit in writing. This limit never reduces what you can recover to less than the price you paid us.
We are not responsible for:
We take care with walls, floors and doors. If the crew damages your property, point it out before they leave if you can, and we will put right damage caused through our fault.
Tell us in writing within 3 days of the move, with photos, and keep the damaged item so we can see it. This time limit does not apply to damage you could not reasonably have noticed in that time, and it does not affect your right to bring a claim in court.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
We hold goods-in-transit insurance, public liability insurance up to £2,000,000 and commercial vehicle insurance. Our insurance protects us; it does not raise the limits in 12.1. If your belongings are worth more, check that your home contents insurance covers the move, or agree a higher limit with us before the move under 12.1.
If something has gone wrong, tell us. We acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 14 days.
We do not use an alternative dispute resolution provider. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you can bring a claim in court — the small claims track covers most amounts in a removal.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
How we use your details is explained in our Privacy Policy.
You do not need to agree to it to book; it tells you what we do with your details and your rights.
We may update these terms. A change applies only to bookings made after it is published; your booking stays under the version you accepted.
